PREVENTIVE & HYGIENE CARE
Care That Starts With Understanding.
Preventive dentistry is about more than maintaining a healthy smile. It gives us the opportunity to understand your oral health, identify changes early, and learn what matters most to you.
Your visits are tailored to your individual needs, with thoughtful evaluation, personalized hygiene care, and clear recommendations when treatment may be beneficial.
PREVENTIVE CARE
Care Built Around Your Needs.
Gum Health & Prevention
Your hygiene care is tailored to your individual oral health needs, with an emphasis on prevention, comfort, and maintaining healthy teeth and gums.
Preventive care starts with understanding what’s happening in your mouth. We’ll explain what we see, answer your questions, and recommend care based on your individual needs
Personalized Hygiene Care
Clear, Thoughtful Recommendations
Healthy gums are an important part of maintaining your teeth over time. At each hygiene visit, we evaluate your gum health and look for changes such as inflammation, bleeding, pocketing, or bone loss that may indicate periodontal disease.
When we see a change, we’ll explain what we’re finding and what it may mean for your care.
GUIDED BIOFILM THERAPY
A Different Approach to Your Cleaning.
We use Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) as part of every patient’s hygiene care. GBT begins by identifying areas of biofilm, then uses a fine stream of air, warmed water, and powder to gently remove biofilm and stains from the teeth.
When additional deposits need to be removed, our hygienists use PIEZON® technology, designed for precise ultrasonic cleaning with patient comfort in mind, along with fine hand scaling when needed.
The result is a more targeted approach to your cleaning, using the right tool where it’s needed rather than treating every area of your mouth the same way.
PERIODONTAL CARE
When Your Gums Need More Attention.
When signs of periodontal disease are present, hygiene care may need to go beyond routine preventive cleaning. We tailor periodontal care to the health of your gums and supporting tissues, with treatment and ongoing maintenance based on your individual needs.
When clinically appropriate, our hygienists may also incorporate dental laser therapy as an adjunct to periodontal care. Laser treatment can help reduce bacteria and disrupt biofilm in periodontal pockets while complementing the thorough removal of biofilm and deposits that remain central to periodontal treatment.
START WITH WHAT MATTERS
Is There Something You Want Us to Know?
A routine visit is often where a larger conversation begins.
Maybe a tooth has been sensitive. Your gums have been bothering you. Something about your smile has changed. Or there’s a concern you’ve been meaning to ask about.
Tell us. Even if it seems small, it’s worth a conversation.
